Chanel Dela Cruz is an indie pop artist born in Honolulu, Hawaii and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Since the age of two, no one could get her to stop singing. You would often find her putting on home concerts for her family as she would act out many of Britney Spears' music videos. Her mother always tells the story that as soon as she could speak, Chanel could sing My Heart Will Go On, word for word, by Celine Dion.
She wrote her first song at age 10 and has been writing ever since.
A few of her influences include John Legend, Ed Sheeran, Julia Michaels, and Billie Eilish.
Her debut EP, Coffee, was released in February 2017. It was a project based on the joy of finding new love. Over the years, her writing style has matured and has become more influenced by her collaborations with producers. Her most recent single, 40 Days, is a song about dealing with heartbreak and is heavily influenced by the rising bedroom pop genre.
